Why do you think it’s important for your business or organization to support nonprofits and community organizations in Southeast Michigan and what kind of positive impact do you think your work could have?
Nonprofits are the backbone of Southeast Michigan, especially for marginalized communities. They provide critical resources, yet many struggle to tell their stories effectively—limiting their reach, funding, and impact.
While working in advertising sales, I saw how BIPOC-owned businesses were disproportionately affected by the pandemic, often overlooked in rushed DEI efforts. That moment shifted my perspective—I wanted to do more than acknowledge the problem; I wanted to help fix it.
That’s why I started Fako Media. By crafting compelling stories and high-quality visuals, I help mission-driven organizations reach new audiences, attract funding, and amplify their impact.
