Addional Pricing Information
All my work is unique/custom and as such differs in size, approach, length. I scope each project, estimating work tasks and hours using a rate reduced from what I previously charged for-profit businesses. I gain agreement from the client for general scope and price. That price becomes that cap for what I bill unless the project changes significantly (and the client agrees to changes). I typically invoice half to initiate the work and half when it is complete. Client satisfaction is guaranteed – if the client is not satisfied with my work, I do not invoice them (this has never happened!).
Mission Statement
I apply my strategic thinking and talent engagement expertise at the intersection of PEOPLE, PURPOSE and PROCESS. I serve small to medium-sized nonprofits, collaboratively leading them to untangle complex issues and set strategic direction so they can achieve their missions and are better prepared for sustainable futures. I live my commitment to give back the skills, expertise and career learnings I have worked hard to cultivate over 20+ years. In addition, I try relentlessly to get other professionals to join me in this quest! I believe if you can give back, you do.
Why do you think it’s important for your business or organization to support nonprofits and community organizations in Southeast Michigan and what kind of positive impact do you think your work could have?
My expertise is in planning, analysis and synthesis, organizational culture and the management of change, not the technical/charitable work of my clients. I understand their world, and how it works and I understand organizational and human dynamics. I bring the skills and perspective nonprofits don’t necessarily have, or know they have, to foundationally strengthen them for the moment they are in, and for their future. Strengthening missions for sustainable futures provides SE MI with the biggest possible impact, strongest possible societal change. More money or people brought to a cause will not provide lasting impact if the organization and its leaders aren’t able to evolve and innovate.
