Addional Pricing Information
We typically negotiate a flat fee based on the services required. If the work exceeds the estimated fee, as it sometimes does, we absorb the loss. We strive to be fair with everyone, but may extend ourselves a bit more in terms of cost, for small nonprofit organizations.
Mission Statement
The mission of JFM Consulting Group is to promote positive social change in the communities in which we work through strategies, planning, research and evaluation. We work in partnership with the nonprofit, public and philanthropic sectors. At JFM, we strive to contribute to the body of knowledge in the fields of planning and evaluation; and provide support to and increase the effectiveness of the nonprofit community. We achieve this through a process that values shared learning and the engagement of community stakeholders.
Why do you think it’s important for your business or organization to support nonprofits and community organizations in Southeast Michigan and what kind of positive impact do you think your work could have?
At JFM, we believe that the missions of organizations in the nonprofit sector are focused on creating positive social change in Detroit and Southeastern Michigan. It is the nonprofit sector that the community looks to and relies on to have a comprehensive understanding of community needs, as well as the necessary programs and services to meet those needs. Resources provided by government and the business sector are vital, but significant gaps remain. Nonprofit and community-based organizations in Southeastern Michigan step in to help fill this void. We believe that JFM provides services that support the critically important work of the nonprofit sector, helping them to be more effective and impactful. Through the years, JFM has demonstrated our commitment to the nonprofit sector by providing pro bono services to a number of local nonprofit organizations on a case-by-case basis. We wanted to be more impactful, however, so in 2016 JFM developed Impact Squared, a program that invites Detroit-based nonprofit organizations compete to compete in a friendly storytelling competition pro bono services. In addition to the services provided through JFM, we also recruited other small businesses in the professional services space to participate as pro bono service providers. The competition takes place at the annual Impact Squared Story Slam, an evening of celebration that is free and open to all, where nonprofits can reconnect and vote for their story telling peers!
