Mission Statement
ResultsLab is a woman-owned social enterprise that propels organizations, communities, and networks to the next level of impact through quality design and effective use of data. We are reinventing impact management by providing strategic design and capacity building for data informed decision-making to organizations and networks that exist to drive change for our communities. Our goal is to make data approachable and deepen our clients’ ability to make informed decisions to create greater impact. Our diverse team is passionate about sharing their expertise to help clients to be more effective. Why do you think it’s important for your business or organization to support nonprofits and community organizations in Southeast Michigan and what kind of positive impact do you think your work could have?
We are deeply excited for the opportunity to work in Southeast Michigan to support the social sector work in the region. As part of our strategic mission, we researched communities in which there was a vibrant or growing social sector where there is limited support for social good organizations to learn data informed decision making skills and deepen their cultures of learning. Southeast Michigan rose as a key priority area for us based on this research. Ultimately, our mission is to support organizations to develop the skills to engage in data informed decision making, in service of deepening the quality of their programs, so as to better serve their communities. For too long the use of data in the social sector has focused solely to reporting information to funders. We believe that the use of data can be harnessed as a tool for listening and learning in the name of community development, equity and social justice. Our approach is geared toward capacity develop of data use skills within nonprofits, which is a strong complement to the more wholistic capacity building approach Co.act is taking. Our work helps to strengthen the impact of programs and services through developing nonprofit organizational capacity to use data to increase the quality of their programs and engage in client-responsive practices based on data. This focus catalyzes nonprofits to increase their impact and improve community outcomes.
