Addional Pricing Information
As it is my goal to serve nonprofits, I work with nonprofits to tailor projects and pricing to meet their needs. I typically commit to a flat fee and overall timeline up front so that the organization knows what to expect and can plan for the costs accordingly. If the project takes more hours than I anticipated, that is on me. Additionally, if my average rate might be higher than what an organization can afford, I work with them to scale the project appropriately or work with them to share responsibilities or engage staff, volunteers, etc. depending on the situation.
Mission Statement
I help nonprofits and social enterprises solve long-term challenges through capacity building, with an emphasis on fundraising, board develoment, and organizational/strategic planning. My philosophy is that a successful fundraising program is transformative, blending the science (best practice, methodical & systematic approach) with the art (personalized, donor-centered, relationship-based). I treat my consulting work the same way, with highly tailored projects and deliverables to meet the cients’ needs and help them achieve their goals. I know how hard it is to meet your funding needs, I also know what a difference it makes to have a comprehensive plan and adequate support. Why do you think it’s important for your business or organization to support nonprofits and community organizations in Southeast Michigan and what kind of positive impact do you think your work could have?
With the exception of my time in graduate school (18 months), I am a lifelong resident of Southeast Michigan. I love and appreciate being part of such a vibrant community and am continually impressed with the ambition, drive, and optimism of folks in our community working for a better world. I think my work can have a positive impact because of this understanding. Detroit is unique from other cities and I think I can offer a lot as a resident of this community. Additionally, I recognize that my background and skillset is one that is in high demand in this region. Fundraising is difficult and can be an uphill battle when the mission and services of an organization are critical, urgent, and in great demand. By bringing my fundraising, nonprofit, and social impact expertise, along with my knowledge of the region and the unqiue challenges and opportunities here, I can support nonprofits to create tailored strategies followed by successful implementation so they can meet their goals, fulfill their mission, and get back to doing what they do best: serving the community.
